What data do we collect and process?

We will collect and process the following data about you:

– Information you give us

This is information about you that you give us by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail, job application/cv, and submitting information on our website or otherwise. It includes the information you supply us with when you engage in mailshots. The information you give us may include, but is not limited to, your name, address, e-mail address, phone number, date of birth, national insurance number, financial and credit card information, photograph.

– Information we collect about you

We collect information about you when you visit our website; subscribe to receive newsletters and email updates; apply for employment with us; attend one of our events; and engage in business dealings with us. You are not obliged to provide us with your personal information. However, if you do not, we might not be able to carry out the services you have requested of us.

Data can be categorised into three areas:

1. Candidate Data

In order to provide the best possible employment opportunities that are tailored to you, we need to process certain information about you. We only ask for details that will genuinely help us to help you. Where appropriate and in accordance with local laws and requirements, we may also collect information related to your health, diversity information or details of any criminal conviction.

2. Client Data

If you are a Hutchinson Engineering customer, we need to collect and use information about you, or individuals at your organisation, in the course of providing you services. The data we collect about Clients is actually very limited. We generally only need to have your contact details or the details of individual contacts at your organisation (such as their names, telephone numbers and email addresses) to enable us to ensure that our relationship runs smoothly. We may also hold extra information that someone in your organisation has chosen to tell us. If we need any additional personal data for any reason, we will let you know.

3. Supplier Data

We need a small amount of information from our Suppliers to ensure that things run smoothly. We need contact details of relevant individuals at your organisation so that we can communicate with you. We also need other information such as your bank details so that we can pay for the services you provide (if this is part of the contractual arrangements between us). We may also hold extra information that someone in your organisation has chosen to tell us.

Why do we process your data?

We process your data in order to comply with legal obligations to which we are subject, to perform the services you have requested of us or to take steps at your request prior to undertaking to provide services for you, because you have consented to our processing of your data or for the purposes of our legitimate interests, such as to inform you of changes to our services/products/vacancies or to provide you with information about other services/products/vacancies we offer.

How will we use your data?

When you visit our website, an anonymous record of your visit is made.
