Behind the scenes heros: Meet Trisha, our CRM manager

Q: What were you doing before joining Hutchinson?

Before joining Hutchinson, I was the Head of Customer Relations at Sliderobes UK, working with a dedicated and talented team. I learned a lot from my colleagues there, not just about customer service but about building relationships. Before that, I decided to return to university – a big decision I’m so glad I made, as it helped me grow personally and professionally. Before making that decision, I worked at Power NI, where I first began to understand the true impact of customer experiences. I was very fortunate to work with a fantastic leadership team at Power NI, and I learned that every single interaction is an opportunity to build trust, loyalty, and a connection with people. It’s a lesson that’s stayed with me throughout my career and something that I carry with me in my role at Hutchinson.

Q: Why did you choose to join Hutchinson?

Hutchinson’s vision for world-class customer service was the hook that initially drew me in—and it continues to inspire me every day. I’m incredibly passionate about customer experience. Throughout my career, I’ve seen how genuinely understanding and prioritising customers can transform not just a company’s success, but its whole culture. From the very first conversations with the recruiter and the team, it became clear that this wasn’t just a box-ticking exercise for them – they genuinely live and breathe a commitment to making things better for customers. There’s energy and dedication here that’s so refreshing and being part of a team where every single person is united and delivers the best possible experience is motivating beyond words. It felt like a place where I could not only bring my skills, but also be part of something bigger, a place where I could continue growing and making a meaningful impact.

Q: What does a typical day in your role look like?

One of the things I love most about my role is that no two days are ever the same, which keeps things exciting and fresh. Our Production and Operations teams are brilliant at keeping things on track, so when my team and I get involved, it’s often because something a bit out of the ordinary has come up – maybe an urgent order, a delayed delivery or an invoice query that needs a bit of extra care. These types of challenges mean there’s always a problem to solve or a situation to improve, which I find incredibly rewarding.

But my role isn’t just about putting out fires – it’s also about building for the future. Recently, I’ve had the chance to work on some exciting projects with different departments. I’m really proud to be a part of the launch of our Hutchinson Connect app, which is already proving to be a game-changer for our internal comms. But, I’m the most excited for the CRM system, which is in its final stages of testing – it’s been amazing to see it come together, and I believe it will elevate our customer support even further. Each day, I get to balance immediate needs with long-term projects, and it’s that combination that makes my role so fulfilling.

Q: What are the best things about working at Hutchinson?

There’s so much to love about working at Hutchinson, but for me, it’s the supportiveness of the team and the shared values that really stand out. When I first joined, I admit I had limited knowledge of the manufacturing industry, which was daunting. But from the very first day, everyone has been so patient, kind, and eager to help. They welcomed me with open arms and never hesitated to share their expertise, patiently answering all of my questions. It’s rare to find a place where you feel so comfortable asking questions and learning from others – I feel lucky to be part of a team where I can grow every day.

Beyond the people, Hutchinson has a culture that truly lives by its values. It’s not just about ticking boxes; it’s about creating an environment where professionalism, kindness, and excellence are all intertwined. The company’s commitment to customer service goes hand-in-hand with how we treat each other – with respect, warmth, and a genuine desire to help one another succeed. It’s a special place, and it’s inspiring to be part of a team that not only values what we do, but also how we do it.

Q: Any advice for someone thinking about joining Hutchinson?

I’d say: go for it! Joining Hutchinson has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career, and if you’re someone who values teamwork, growth, and making a real difference, you’ll find yourself right at home here. Hutchinson offers a genuinely unique work environment – one where people care deeply about each other and where your ideas are valued.

From day one, you’ll feel part of a team that’s passionate about creating the best possible experience for our customers and committed to supporting one another every step of the way. It’s a place where you’ll be encouraged to learn, grow, and make an impact. So if you’re considering it, my advice would be to take the leap – you won’t regret it!
