Paint Line Supervisor

This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of our coating processes, quality control and team performance. The supervisor will manage daily operations while actively participating in direct work for 50% of the time, including covering staff breaks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Coordination: Oversee and coordinate the tasks of a team of 8-12 operatives, ensuring smooth workflow and timely completion of production goals.
• Hands-on Operations: Engage in direct work on the paint line for 50% of the time, including covering team breaks.
• Quality Control (QC): Conduct regular QC checks to ensure all coated products meet our high standards.
• Stock Management: Perform regular stock takes and order materials as required to maintain uninterrupted production.
• Training & Development: Train new team members in powder coating, wet spray painting, and shot blasting processes, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Performance Monitoring: Measure and track team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment at all times.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience in powder coating, wet spray painting and shot blasting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and develop a team.
• Solid understanding of quality control processes in a paint line environment.
• Experience with stock management and materials ordering.
• Ability to work hands-on and lead by example.
• Excellent organisational and task coordination skills.
