Fabrication Apprenticeship

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Fabrication Apprentice. This apprenticeship provides a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic workshop environment while completing a recognised qualification through a day-release programme at college.

Location: Hutchinson, 58a Drumagarner Road Kilrea BT51 5TE

Position Type: Full-time Apprenticeship with Day Release to College


About the Role

As a Fabrication Apprentice, you will learn the skills required to work with various materials and tools, contributing to the production of high-quality components and structures. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining practical knowledge and developing expertise in fabrication techniques.


Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the fabrication and assembly of metal components and structures, ensuring all work is completed to high standards.

• Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

• Operate and maintain workshop tools and machinery, including welders, grinders, saws, and bending equipment.

• Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

• Work collaboratively with team members to meet project deadlines and quality requirements.

• Attend college on a day-release basis to complete academic studies and achieve a qualification relevant to the role.


What We Are Looking For

• A genuine interest in fabrication, engineering, or metalworking.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

• A willingness to learn and take direction from experienced fabricators.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving.

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C or above.
